Will Wright. Title: Exponential integrators using Krylov subspace approximations Abstract: In this talk we will discuss the class of integration methods known as exponential integrators. Exponential integrators are constructed for the time integration of large systems of differential equations, typically arising from spatially discretized partial differential equations. In this talk we will briefly discuss the different types of exponential integrators and some interesting observations. We will then focus on the efficient implementation of the two main types of exponential integrators, those which use the exact Jacobian or an approximation to the Jacobian. Some numerical experiments on large scale problems with the \textsc{matlab} implementations \texttt{ode15s} and \texttt{radau5} and the exponential integrator \texttt{exp4} will be given.
