Service Time Assessment in Computational Information Fluid Dynamics using Level Set Methods

Florian De Vuyst

Abstract: This paper completes the previous one posted on the same preprint server. The goal is to compute service or cycle time in queuing system using Eulerian Partial Differential equations models (Information Fluid Dynamics). This is achieved using the level set concept initially proposed by Osher and Sethian. In this concept, level set is used as an event handler that periodically send requests for service time assessment. Each event corresponds to an integer crossing of the level functions. Numerical results show the efficiency of the method.
