Initial-boundary value problems to the one-dimensional compressible Navier–Stokes equations with degenerate transport coefficients

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the construction of global, non-vacuum solutions with large amplitude to the initial-boundary value problems of the one-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations with degenerate transport coefficients. The main ingredient of the analysis is to derive the positive lower and upper bounds on the specific volume and the absolute temperature.
