The general idea
We figure that some of you may be interested in taking advantage of being in this great area at this particular time for taking some extra holidays, visiting colleagues or whatever you may choose to do. Our plan is therefore the following: We will ask you to fill in as quickly as possible, the travel itinerary webform, we set December 15 as deadline. Below, we have indicated some airports/flights in which may be well suited for arrival and departure.
We recommend to go to Bolzano by bus/train, see below.
More information to follow on how to get from Bolzano to the hotel, possibly the hotel will help us in providing transportation.
NB! We assume that most participants will be present at least from Sunday evening Feb 17, to Thursday lunch time, February 21. We have been told that it might be possible to prolong the stay at the hotel both before and after the meeting.
Some flights
- Fligths from Norway (Bergen/Oslo/Trondheim) to Verona and Innsbruck and Munich
- A useful link for finding reasonably priced flights to Verona is
Reisbillig. From Oslo it is also possible to fly via Stansted with Norwegian and Ryanair.
- Fligths from London to Verona
- Ryanair fly from London-Stansted to Verona-Brescia. British Airways fly from London-Gatwick to Verona (Valerio Catullo airport).
- Other airports
- Venezia (Marco Polo) and Milano (Linate and Malpensa) are connected via bus and train to Bolzano.
To Bolzano by train
- From Verona
- From Verona airport (Valerio Catullo), one takes a bus (Airbus) to the railway station in Verona. From here there are frequent trains to Bolzano, the trip takes less than 2 hours.
- From Brescia (Indicated Verona-Brescia by RyanAir)
- There is a bus departing after the arrival of every RyanAir flight, taking you to the railway station in Verona.
From here there are frequent trains to Bolzano, the trip takes less than 2 hours.
- From Innsbruck
- From Innsbruck airport there is a bus connection to the railway station every 15 minutes (the ride lasts about 10 minutes). There are regular trains from Innsbruck to Bolzano about every two hours. The journey lasts also only two hours.
- From Munich Hpb
- Railway and bus connection to the central train station is available from the airport. There are regular trains from Munich to Bolzano (about every two hours) the journey lasts four hours.
- From elswhere in Europe
- The travelplanner of the German railways can be also used to plan travels from outside Germany.
From Bolzano to Renon
There will be a dedicated bus from the railway station in Bolzano to our hotel at the following times on
Sunday February 17
16.45, 18.45, 19.45, 21.45

We will figure out transport back to Bolzano at the end of the meeting later.
