Research interests

My research is currently focused on analysing the different spatiotemporal factors that can affect the species composition turnover. For that I use parametric approach to estimate community similarity and I work along with Steinar Engen and Vidar Grøtan.

I am also developing, along with other colleagues, spatial explicit hierarchical models to estimate population abundance in space and identify emergent structures in the species distribution pattern from large-scale count surveys. These models are then applied to counts of common guillemot (mainly Uria algae ) in open sea (non constrained by breeding activities), obtained from surveys carried out in the Bay of Biscay (France) and in the Barentz sea (Norway).

I develop this framework along with Pascal Monestiez, Gregoire Certain, Joel Chadoeuf, Vincent Bretagnolle and Per Fauchald.
