Drag the ladybug straight down. Where does she come back? Where do you think the flower will go when you drag it straight down?
Drag the heart so that half of it shows at the top of the square and half shows at the bottom. Wiggle it side to side. What do you see?
Now drag the heart so that half of it shows at the left side of the square and half shows at the right. Wiggle it up and down. The Klein bottle's left and right sides are glued without a flip, just like in the torus.
The dotted lines show the Klein bottle's symmetry axes. What happens to the ladybug if she takes a trip along one of the symmetry axes? (Hint: Look closely at her markings before and after.)
The pop-up menu (below right) lets you switch back and forth between the Klein bottle and the torus.
You may return to the index to play the games, or continue with this introduction to learn about the tiling view.
