History matching is the process, in which production history is used
to improve the description of reservoir characteristics in a petroleum
reservoir. In this paper, we formulate this problem in a Bayesian
framework. Two approaches for sampling from the posterior distribution
are discussed, one of which is approximate only. A small example is
defined and the results of the two procedures are compared.
