The principal challenge of reservoir characterization is integration
of different types of information. Assessing the resulting uncertainty
is also important. The current paper extends the sand-shale model
presented by Haldorsen and Lake in 1984, by allowing a more flexible
prior model based on general reservoir information and by including
both well observations, seismic data and production history. A
schematic example is presented.
