From Trondheim lufthavn, Værnes (the airport) to downtown Trondheim

[Arrival and departure information for Trondheim lufthavn, Værnes]
[Delays and cancellations for Norwegian air traffic]

Three different alternatives:

1. There is a "flybuss" (airport shuttle) taking you directly from the airport to downtown Trondheim. The current prize is NOK 80 (as of June 20, 2007). It stops outside several hotels downtown, and the endstop is at Lerkendal Stadion. The stop nearest the university campus is Studentersamfundet.

2. You may also preorder a "flytaxi" from Trøndertaxi that takes you to a location you determine when you order the flytaxi. However, there may be up to two other passengers in the taxi with different destinations, and the location of the end stops determines who gets off first. (Each of the three persons may have different end points). The current prize for this is NOK 295 (as of June 20, 2007), and can be ordered from Trøndertaxi at phone number 07373 or +47-93007373. It should be ordered at least one day in advance.
A competing service is offered by NorgesTaxi (phone 08000 or 81001810) which charges NOK 260 (as of June 20, 2007), but they have fewer taxis.
You find the flytaxi (from both companies) when you exit the airport and turn left, about 100 meters from the exit.
Another competing offer is from Stjørdal Taxi that offers "Airport Taxi". Here no pre-order is required.

3. A regular taxi will cost at least NOK 600 (as of June 20, 2007). Fixed rates are also offered.
