Equations involving the so called infinity-Laplacian have recently caught the attention of several experts in viscosity solutions. L.C. Evans has used the expression "The Last Great Scalar Equation" while M. G. Crandall talks about "The Mysterious Infinity-Laplacian". One should also mention R. Jensen and G. Barles. I will make some comments about this fascinating differential operator and report about my joint work with P. Juutinen and J. Man- fredi. The applications in physics (plastic moulding), geometry (best Lipschitz extensions), and image processing will not be dis- cussed this time.
