1.2 Accommodation

There are three types of accommodation available in Trondheim. Firstly, there are the two hotels Britannia and Norrøna.

Single room with breakfast Double room with breakfast, per person
Britannia Hotel (B2) 375 NOK
Hotel Norrøna (N1) 450 NOK (N2) 275 NOK

Secondly, there are single rooms (U1) and some double rooms (U2) in three university houses, primarily for students without meals. The rates are 100 per night in a single room and 75 per person per night in a double room without any meals. There is a fully equipped kitchen in each university house, laundry machine and drier. We have only a very limited number of these rooms.

The possibility for staying in some student dormitories turned out not to be a good solution so we have dropped this option.

As you may remember, we asked you to send in your preferred accommodation before January 20-th, 1996. Those of you who have done this and asked for a single room in Hotel Norrøna, double or single room in Britannia Hotel will get your preferred accommodation. Those of you who have asked for a double room in Hotel Norrøna and a room in a university house may not get your number one preference.

The preferences of all others will be meet as far as is possible. We have also reserved additional rooms of various types and price levels in Trondheim.

1.3 Food

As the hotel accommodation includes breakfast, expenses for breakfast need only to be taken into account for people staying in the university houses. The lunch for July 30-th to August 2-nd will be at the university campus at Dragvoll and it is covered by the registration fee. The dinner will not be organized by us.

The service is included at all the restaurants so no tip is needed. However, it is customary to round up to nearest ten.
