Final exam: December 16, 2005, 4 hours, code D (you may only use an HP30S calculator).
Midterm: The midterm is on Tuesday, October 11, from 08:15-10:00 in auditorium S6 and will count 20% of your final grade. You may only use an HP30S calculator.

The midterm covers the following material:
  Kreyszig: Xeroxed material from chapters 1 and 5.
  Strang: Chap. 1.1-1.6, 2.1-2.4, 2.6, 3.1 and 3.2. (This includes
      the Cholesky factorization, see Strang page 195.)
  Problem Sets No. 1 - 6.
