Final exam: December 17th 2007, 4 hours (code D).
Midterm: The midterm will be on Wednesday October 10th 17:15-19:00 in Auditorium F1. This is arranged with the same rules as an ordinary exam. If you need special treatment, please contact Idar Hansen. The only permitted aid for the midterm (like the exam) is the HP30s calculator.

The midterm will cover the following material:

Kreyszig: Xeroxed material from chapters 1 and 5.
Strang: Chap. 1.1-1.6, 2.1-2.4 and 2.6.
Plus the Cholesky factorization on page 320.
Problem sets (Ýving): No. 1-6.
