Directions

Getting to Trondheim

The most convenient way to reach Trondheim is flying to Trondheim Værnes Airport. When you arrive at the airport, you can choose bus or taxi to the city.

Bus: The airport express bus leaves from right outside the domestic baggage claim area. The bus leaves whenever a plane has arrived. The price is 140 NOK, or 240 NOK for a return ticket. The bus takes about 40-45 minutes. The bus stop closest to the hotel is Lerkendal Stadion (a one-minute walk). Note that the bus only stops here on request.

For more information about the airport express bus, see the bus company's web page.

The second bus option is the Værnes Express. It has fewer departures and is similarly priced. This company stops right outside Scandic Lerkendal.

Both companies sell the tickets on the bus, and both accept credit cards and cash (NOK).

Taxi: You can choose between NorgesTaxi and Trøndertaxi. Be warned, this is a very expensive means of transportation, and the price will be approximately 600–800 NOK depending on the time of day. If you order in advance, the price will be 399 NOK.

Getting to Gløshaugen

Gløshaugen is the campus south of and overlooking the city. If you stay at Scandic Lerkendal, the best way of getting there is by foot. See this map for a description.

If you do not stay within walking distance, bus no. 5 takes you to Gløshaugen Nord, which is the closest bus stop. Note that buses do not accept credit cards, and that one trip costs 50 NOK (!) if you pay by cash. 24 hour tickets cost 105 NOK, and are available at the main ticket office in the city center, or by using the app. See atb.no for timetables and ticket information.

The lecture room S3 is on the ground floor between the two tall buildings in the middle of the campus.
