An Explanation for the Sonic Point Glitch
Kun Xu and Hua-zhong Tang
Abstract:
A sonic point glitch on the rarefaction wave is always associated with
Godunov-type schemes, i.e., Godunov, Roe, Osher, Steger-Warming, van Leer,
etc., methods. In this note, for the first time the reason for the formation
of the sonic point glitch is explicitly pointed out.
