A Note on the Shock Wave Formation Process for Scalar Conservation Laws

Abstract: In the paper we consider the same problem as in [4]. We propose simpler procedure for describing the shock wave formation process in the case of scalar conservation law. The procedure can be generalized on examining the problem of singularity formation for a class of system of conservation law [6].
